Business License for selling on Amazon, needed or not?

Hello All,

I am a newbie on Amazon and planning to have my own business.
Is it necessary to get a Business license to your City just to do FBA?
I heard that the business license will provide you the Registration number you need for your Tax Code.


Please help.
